Please can you wonderful people give me some advice on how to be helpful to my husband following on from his surgery? He will probably need a temp stoma.

I always say/do the wrong thing and so want to be supportive. He really deserves that. Are there any tips for how to help?

hi Yoyo, just being there will be helping him. My husband and I shared a gallows humour. I initially had a colonoscopy then an illiostomy then back to an colonoscopy. I'm now 11 years down the line and can eat most things and it tends to behave most of the time.

Keep your sense of humour.It has got my husband and I through the last 3 yrs.when things go wrong laugh,its better than crying
