Hi all,
I was sick last night and my stoma bag came off several times and my bed is stripped and being washed as I type. The poo was loose and like water. My stomach. Is rumbling but nothing yet. Saying that, after last nights explosions, I am not surprised.
I think it was something I ate. I have some toast this morning and warm water and touch wood that seems okay.
I know I have to drink and keep hydrated but I just wondered if there is anything else I can do?
I am tired as I didn’t sleep much and I has terrible muscle spasms during the night, It was not a fun night at all.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
Love to you all,
Hi Lisa
Poor you upset stomach, several bags blowing off and the resulting stripping the bed and washing machine on, oh the pleasures of being an ostomate.
My first thoughts for you was to suggest that the warm weather of yesterday may have had something to do with it but I don't think your weather was all that hot so we can only put it down to something you possibly ate.
I think you're doing the right thing by keeping your fluid levels up and having toast although you could try plain crackers without anything on them.
If the stomach cramps are still with you a hot water bottle placed on your stomach may help.
Have you tried peppermint tea in place of ordinary black tea.
Hope your symptoms clear soon but remember if they continue for more than 2 days a call to your GP would be your next step.
Keep a look out for a new thread I'm about to start on drinking
Look after yourself.

Hi Ian,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I have drank quite a bit today. I drank a fair amount yesterday as it was hot and humid here.
I am worried as I haven't had any movement so far today. I know last night was horrendous but nothing today apart from the odd rumble and a bit of wind. I get scared.
With kindness,
Lisa
