my partner has 2 stomas, he was very constipated last week, and started vomiting black liquid.. very scary!!.. i took him to a&e and after a night of laxatives.. his stoma started producing very hard bullets.. he came home.. but has since had very bad tummy pains.. he had a ct scan, but nothing sinister showed up.. any ideas why he is getting the tummy pain please?
Hi mandajayne
Sorry to hear about your partner. I am not a medic and can’t diagnose but I do believe from reading on this site that vomiting brown/black liquid is a bad sign as it is basically faeces being expelled which indicates a blockage. I would be very tempted to go to A&E again or at least ring 101 if he has tummy pains because if it’s a blockage you wanted it treated ASAP.
You really need some medical advice rather than soldiering on through the bank holiday (assuming you’re in England/Wales).

Hi Mandy
Ohh gosh poor Kev that must of been so scary for you both. How is he doing now? Hope he’s feeling better. I know my Dad has had them stomach pains and has caused him to be sick, I think it’s trapped wind/constipation. For it to be black though seems like it’s something to do with the bowel. Hope it’s all been sorted now and Kev's feeling better. Danni x
