Recommendations for Stoma Bag Suppliers

I’d not heard of Respond so I will look them up. Glad to hear you’ve had such good service over a long period of time - anything that keeps this stoma business straightforward is very welcome! 

The hospital set me up with Fittleworths who were great to begin with.even had a named stoma nurse that I could message any time.however a couple of years ago they had a computer problem which meant a lot of problems sermed to be occuring.mistakes with orders.(once they cut off the velcro fasteners at the opening on all the bags for no reason making them unusable)

I changed to Amcare and cant praise them highly enough.pleasant and helpful on the phone.Once they recieve the prescription from my GP (the system my gp uses )the order only takes a few days to fulfil and deliver

I had my Coloplast order delivered - they’ve promised it’s going to be perfect next time so I’ll give them the chance to prove it! - and I realised I have a couple of spare adhesive removers in my supplies. I quite understand if you don’t want to but I just thought I would say if you wanted them and could private message me your address I would post them to you.

That’s really kind of you to offer those sprays-thank you very much. I am doing ok with these for now-I asked when I phoned NAMS about getting more spray authorised, reminding them that I have 2 stomas to manage, and thankfully the stoma nurse authorised this without question. 

Along with what I was given by the kind lady in the social group I attended, I have enough for now. I really appreciate your offer though.

I’m pleased to hear the stoma nurse has approved an adjustment to your supplies so you won’t have to be concerned about making your spray supply last. Thanks for mentioning your local group - I have looked online and discovered one near me so will make contact with them. I may well be able to share my spares there.

The group I joined meets once a month and has guest speakers (although it’s all very informal)  eg from stoma companies who bring along samples so you can try something new if you’d like to. 

I couldn’t get to the last meet as my partner wasn’t here and I didn’t have a lift, so fingers crossed I might get to the next one. It was nice to meet others living with stomas, although I didn’t find anyone living with 2 so far!
