Agree very much about respecting others for what they believe sincerely.

And it's lovely when people can openly discuss things without anyone feeling undermined or attacked - let's keep it going.

I haven't heard of Zecharia Sitchen ... just looked on Wikipedia.  Is he worth a read?  (I just checked my local library and he's not in the catalogue) Or are there others you would recommend?

I spelt his surname wrong its Sitchin  lol.  He is great to read but some of it can be a bit dry.  He was one of the few people in the world who could understand Sumerian and translated the tablets.  All things spring from there. The Old Testament is a condensed version of the Adam and Eve event.  Most religions spring from Sumeria.

Go on to Amazon, google his name and loads of other more easy to understand authors will appear.

In a nutshell we were genetically tweaked from apes to human by the Annunaki, an extra-terrestrial race to mine gold from Earth to help save their dying planet Nibiru.  We were made in their image and given self-awareness by them.  It answers both evolution and how we evolved at such a speed.  If it was down to evolution, we would probably be not as advanced as we are by a long shot.  Their shortcomings are ours, war--like, kind etc.  Sitchin has answered a lot of my questions.  With our tech and weapons we can truly understand the tablets.
