Great news now you know where you at you can get on like you said - brill news :-) when i went back a wk after op to see cons i was not worried and thought they say just some radiotherapy now and your done, but they said i needed chemo and that i was grade 3 which knocked me sideways (only for a day then bounced back :-)) so well done you.

caroline best of luck for thursday pls tell us how you went on x

Hi to Jean and Chelle you both doing brill and good way through your treatments now - keep up your spirits and keep us all going withyour tips and advice :-)

Hi to everyone else - im finding it hard still remembering who has what diagnosis and where all up to with treatments i have to read back 4 pages to remind myself - notice quite a few of you have your profiles hidden, i just mentioning it as mine too was hidden and i hadnt activated it to be shown and didnt know this, if profiles are able to be seen and we update them i sure it would help recap easier, just so people know as i thought everyone could see my profile and it was hidden.

    Hi all,

Thats great news Jo. Its lovely to hear how positive you are. I remember feeling just like you when i got my results, them saying they think they've removed it all. But like you Stef, i was kinda knocked sideways when they revealed i was her2 + and would need herceptin and grade 3 and would definately need chemo. However, knowing where you stand and what treatments are required does make you feel better in a strange kind of way!! Stef thankyou for your lovely words of encouragement. Sometimes i don't know where we all get our strength from but we do.

Margaret i'm so pleased to hear that your skin is healing so quickly and you're not in any pain :-)

Good luck for tomorrow Caroline. i shall be thinking of you x

Hi Marmalade, You feel free to lurk on here as much as you like, we all appreciate hearing from you. I can't believe your sis is still waiting!!! Its really not good enough!!

    Take care everyone

    Hello All

Margaret, I am so pleased to hear that you are doing so well. It's amazing that a week later you are healing so well. Those of us who still have to have radiotherapy (which is most of us at the moment) will be encouraged at how well you have recovered from it. You certainly had a trying time.

i think it is absolutely bloody wonderful that we can all pass our experiences on to each other.

I saw my Oncologist today and she was pleased that the side effects of this new chemo, CMF, are kinder that the Epirubicin.

Chell, how are you getting on with this one? My only side effect is the mouth ulcers, which are now under control. The tiredness is quite negligible.

Marmalade, I can't believe how long it is taking for your sis to get things sorted.

Paula, try not to wake the rest of us when you are treading the boards in the early hours!!!!

Caroline, we will all be with you tomorrow in spirit.

As always, thinking of you all.

    Jean x

    Evening everyone,
Reading your post Marigold, I was suprised that your grade 1 tumour went to 6 of your lymph nodes...I was under the impression grade 1 meant early BC or low grade...there is always so much to learn . My tumour was grade 1 and thankfully had not gone to the lymph nodes.
Nearly 5 weeks after surgery now and still having difficulties with my arm and shoulder from the lymph node removal, still swollen numb, hypersensitive in parts and the breast scar, very hard above it, going to see the Macmillan nurse tomorrow for a check up and hopefully reassuring chat..

Still waiting to find out when my radiotherapy will be. the tamoxifen is going ok, quite a lot of hot flushes, but mainly in the evening and suring the night..

Good luck to everyone with their treatments,... you are all very brave and motivate eachother...
    Love
