    Hi all

Thanks Marian for the support, great to speak to someone who has had the same treatment as i will be having :-)
Great to know about the sickness drug and i was going to opt for cold cap but decided not too as thought might fall out anyway - great news it worked for you - the oncologist didnt offer cold cap i asked then declined. My hair is short and a bit grim at the moment anyway so no GREAT loss hahaha. Just worried i will forget i have no hair and catch glimpse of myself in mirror and jump :-)
When does your radiotherapy start? Good Luck and thanks for sharing your experience it was most helpful x stef

Hi Everyone, Been trying to read the forum so I can get to know who's who but my brain seems to be mush at the moment so can't take it in. Going tomorrow for op to have all my lymph nodes removed after lumpectomy on the 24th March. Thanks for all the kind thoughts. xx

    Hello All

I havent posted for over a week as i had my birthday which was okish and then went to Edinburgh which was fantastic, the rugby was outstanding and the irish who won were in great spirits. On the down note I had to come home and face my op week, my mastectomy is on Friday and i am petrified, my emotions are up and down and i seem to be taking out on the people who i most care about. My consultant told me that i have grade 2 ductal carcinoma with dcis evident. I have no idea what this means but i hope to find out on friday.

I have to say you are all an inspiration on here and I wish you all the best of luck.

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a great Bank holiday!! My sister got her result yesterday and has to have a double mastectomy. She is the type that will put it off as long as the doctor allows so I am not sure when. I think he may have treated her with kit gloves as chemo and radio were not discussed. She basically told my Mum it was her fault as her doctor told her she has the gene (absolute rubbish as none of us have been tested yet).
I start my chemo today and hopefully get my scan results, I am feeling quite down but onwards and upwards.
I hope everyone else is ok xxx
