    Hi Girlies

Chemo number 11 done and dusted! Got away with my secret! Bring on number 12 (the last one) next Wed.

I have had no more sickness or the runs so reckon it was a one off! Just feel a bit tired through lack of sleep last night.

Karen, I don't know of anyone on this site who is on Arimidex. Chelle and I start on it after the radiotherapy. Be good to hear of your experiences so that we have an idea of what to expect!

Wendy, sorry to hear you have been a bit down. It happens to us all from time to time. Just hang in there and try to stay positive. Hope the fish finger diet works for you LOL. Have you had a date yet for your op?

Hope you other chemo kids are all home now from the hospital and that everything went ok.

As ever, love to you all.

    Jean xx

Hi - it's lovely to be posting again. My situation is - the 2 surgeons have found a slot they can both make on 22 September! That seems about 4 months away rather than 4 weeks! On Friday I am going to the local hospital to have an ultrascan to check that my lymph nodes still look clear. If they do I will start on Tamoxifen to stop any spread and wait impatiently for the DIEP! If they look dodgy I will have a double mx asap, plus any therapy I need. Then I'll have recon when all is over. It sounds like a good plan so please think of me Friday - I so want to go for the whole lot in one go in September.
I know I've been quiet but I have been reading all your posts and enjoying all the news and feeling for those who have had bad news.
Take care and let's look for all the positives - this group is amazing at that!
    lots of love, Wendy xxx

    hello all,

ive got all the dates now for my radiotherapy . i start on 22nd september.and ive got 5 day retreat at penny brohn on the 13th september. the kids will be back at school, so that makes it slightly easier for my mum in some ways.

me and my husbund split up 9 days ago. its been so hard. hes an alcoholic and he is on a bender. im getting stronger , ive got to be for my boys. just taking one day at a time. i had counselling today, (positive action for cancer) i find it really good. they are going to let me have more sessions cos of wots going on at the moment.

the last hurdle of my breast cancer is approaching. then i must start living again. with or without my husbund. i have been given a 2nd chance, i hope. so i must grasp it with both hands.

i hope everyone is coping ok, with the stage they are at. take care. and be positive.

    love blossomxxxx

    Morning everyone! xx
Heehee! I don't have to stop eating - I'm allowed what I like to make my tummy a bit larger for my recon! Once I've had that tummy tuck tho' I'll be on strict rations ao I'll enjoy while I can!
Feel so much better to be back in the loop but overwhelmed by everyone and everything that's going on! It's difficult to keep up, isn't it? But it's good to be able to read all the posts and know where we all are.
Thinking and praying specially of Caley today. Be good to hear from her again when she's up to it.
Have a good day everyone - it's still sunny here so I'm goig to brown my tummy lol
    lots of love, Wendy xxx

hi blossom - your fighting on, great to see. Hope you enjoy your 5 day retreat - do you go alone or with friend - is it like a relaxing break with therapies?

I have just rang DLA to appeal (be reconsidered) as when i read my form saying i am not entitled - the reason is - cos you have to be ill for 3mths before can get it - i was ill for 3mths at time of applying - but then it says and you are to expect to still need help for a further six months taking me to 3/2/2010 (so you have to need help for nine months in all to get it) i dont agree with that at all and now they will contact my oncologist and i am to try and proove that i will still need help up to feb next year - when my radiotherapy ends possibly end of November??? Any suggestions from anyone who has appealed - who can help me best with this - oncologist letter, GP (i never see her but she is nice) or macmillan people??????????? i have one month to provide proof! what a load of bollox.

Chelle great to hear from you - you nearly at the end of chemo now - whooopeee keep your chin up :-) x stef

Love to everyone and hope you all ok xxxxxxxxxxxxx
