    Hi Jeanyb,
I inhabit "The We Talk Brain Tumours" site and happened to see your message.
We are all a bit quiet at the moment due to one of our lovely leading ladies losing her hubby at the weekend.
Why don't you paste your message onto that thread and someone will be along to advise you.
You say it is low grade, is that 1 or 2?
We look forward to meeting you over there.
    Martyn

hi izzy, copy and paste your post and put it on the thread called "we talk brain tumours".someone will be along to answer your questions in more detail than me,so i'm not about to even try.gliblastoma multiforme is a deadly cancer that cannot be cured, chemo and radiotherapy will extend life,to some extent, but it isn't a cure.please tell me the docs have given you "some" idea about your hubbys condition????Tammy.xx

    Hi Tammy

Thanks for getting back to me so quickley the doctors have not told me much about my hubbys condition at all only that he will get an operation then he he will get radio and chemo therapy, its only when i found this site that i realised that this was as bad as this i thought he might get better one day, but it doesnt look that way now does your hubby have this too.

it's my mom who has this awful beast!!!the op your hubby will have is called a debulking, where they will remove some of the tumour, unfortunatley these tumours almost deffinatley grow back, although removing part of it will slow down growth.my mom then had 6wks of radiotherapy and chemo together, then a further 6 mths of chemo.try reading my profile, this will give you a better picture.you should also create a profile of your own, instead of repeating your story over and over.sorry you have had to come here, but you will find the answers and support you need,i promise.mom was diagnosed exactly 12 mnth ago and she's still here.i don't want to give you false hope, just that you have time on your side.saying that, everyone's tumour is different,so sharing experiences is what people offer here.like i said before,i really do hope you post on the we talk brain tumour thread,as there are many people there, who will be willing to guide you in the right direction, and the upbeat banter on there keeps you going.i really do wish you and your hubby well and that you ask the doctors all you need to know, they are the only one's who will know about your hubbys tumour.stay strong and also positive.love Tammy.xxxxxx

    Hi Izzy
Sorry that you have had to join this site, unfortunetley what Tammy says is true, glioblastoma has no cure at this time hopefully one day these people will come up with a cure for this horrible disease. The treatment that you have been offered is the same as what my partner has been getting, he is phisically very well but his personality has changed completly more than once. You should speak to your consultant or your specialist nurse they will tell you everything it is very scarey i have been there i was terrified to ask but i did and so will you when you are ready, if i can help just let me know
