HI
This is my first time on this hope im doing it right. My Husband Paul was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in December 2006 and when we got the news we were devestated and didn't no where to turn for help or just someone to listen to how i felt i didn't want to upset family anymore than i had to as pauls dad had died two years previous with a tumour on his brain stem.Paul had a debulking operation followed by 30 lots of chemo and radiotherepy followed by 6 months high dose chemo, he had a drug called temozolomide the sickness was controlled by various anti-sicknesss tablets. Its now coming up for twelve months since his last treatment. He has a scan at the end of November. We make the most of everyday and paul has managed to do a bit of fishing thanks to some fantastic fellas from the fishing club he is a member of. If you want any qustions answered about the treatment and side effects please ask as it would be good to be in touch with someone in the same position as myself.

hi Kim, welcome, yes you are "doing it right"! Your husband must be doing well, relatively speaking, now almost 2 years from diagnosis - how is he doing day to day? I have found it is good to share thoughts and experiences with others in the same situation. you could also try the "we talk brain tumours " thread where there are many more people who are at various stages of the journey with glioblastoma.
gayle, no I haven't tried the spiritualist church! its not something I'd go for usually, but if it makes martin feel better and doesn't do any harm then why not. is he any better with regard to his attitude to you now?

Hi Kim and CH
Good to read some good news for a change, glad both your husbands are doing so well, 2 years on, Kim howmany lots of treatment has Paul had?
Hi Sarah glad that your dad enjoyed going to the church, most spirits when they come forward leave a flower to show their love, you should go along with your dad sometime it really is very good i feel so good after th healing. Like your father most times that Martin goes to the church he will get a message is it becuse they are so ill? i dont know i only get them from time to time.
