My partner Martin was diagnosed with this horrible desease on june 19th 2008. I am so scared of this monster of a disease, why does it happen, where does it come from? Cant we find a cure? please God find one soon. There are htousands of new cases every year why cant we save these peoples lifes from this horrible disease.
Again you all amaze me Diane, CH,Gayle andLesley, you all seem to know so much about this tumour Diane you must spend hours on the computer or where do you get all this valuable information, i try to do some research on the net but get scared at what i read and i give up very quickly how do you do it??? hi Izzy, no I don't spend hours on the computer now - if only! just after my hubby was diagnosed I did though and spent lots of time reading, plus I have learnt a lot from the other good people on here. however I have to agree that much of what is on the net is depressing and its definitely not good to overdo it. hope you are ok diane xx
Please excuse me butting in on your thread, but has anyone noticed the post by chrissie on gioblastoma IV...need advice? Its just that she has posted same message 3 times over last 2 weeks, so I am starting to worry about her. I replied to first two, suggesting she post on Brain Tumour thread, but she doesn't appear to have done so. Would any of you please consider replying on her thread in case she hasn't figured out how to?? Sorry to be an interfering old biddy, but I am just a bit concerned, and hate anyone to be missed. hi all just found out our golden retriever has cancer too.feel heartbroken for the kids.eva asked me if i would be next to get cancer.he is michaels dog.it's as if he wants to die too and be with his daddy-eventually.it was michael who walked him.like michael the dog is young ,healthy and fit. i know he is only a dog.but my kids love him.i feel so sad teir daddy and their dog too.why us!!! lesley
Hi Lesley, Â I'm so sorry to hear that. A dog is a family member too and it's heartbreaking when they are ill. Is it a treatable condition? In some cases it can be with dogs. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is.
Sorry to hear about your dog as CH says dogs are part of the family, when we lost our dog we grieved for months he was just part of the family, hopefully your dog can be treated for the kids sake it must be awful for them, how is Michael doiing have you managed to get him home yet? xx
