My partner Martin was diagnosed with this horrible desease on june 19th 2008. I am so scared of this monster of a disease, why does it happen, where does it come from? Cant we find a cure? please God find one soon. There are htousands of new cases every year why cant we save these peoples lifes from this horrible disease.
I will look out the numbers for you tomorrow its been such a hectic day Martine back to school, Martin took a seizure again tonight it was right in front of Martine she got such a fright I thot anticonvulsions were supposed to help? Does your dad still get them? Martin gets really confused also like you it worries me so much but your dad just had a scan and all is well so that should ease our minds but it doesnt, Martin is due another scan soon too I am worried already, he is also watching the Lynda Le Plant programme I am too much on edge tonight to watch anything.
Absolutley no rush for those numbers at all. Oh dear, poor wee thing, she mustve got such a fright - what did you do, did you have to put Martin on his side or anything - not sure Id know what to do apart from panic? My dad hasnt taken any seizures again since 11th Dec (only remember the date as it was my birthday!). He's on something called Keppra and takes a 250mg tab twice a day. Maybe Martin's anticonvulsants need increased? My dad's first scan since the radio finished is the beginning of Feb - feel sick thinking about it already! The emergency one he had a few weeks ago just showed the swelling hadnt increased. Hope you have a quieter day today - it probably will be with Martine at school! Amber is back to nursery and its just me and Joe so its very peaceful. Going up to John Lewis in a mo, thought id have a look now all the crowds will be gone! Martine got a real fright it is really scarey when it happens, Martin shakes alot and falls if he is up and sweats alot fortunetly it doesnt last for too long and he remembers everything. The meds that he is on for the convulsions is an increasing dose, our specialist nurse called today and said try not too worry they will manage to stabilise the seizures and also the headaches are not causing her too much concern as they are not constant so i will just keep praying. She did give me a big surprise though I asked her to check when Martins next scan would be and it turns out that it is thursday they forgot to send us an appointment out thank god our nurse called or we never have known the only good thing is it doesnt leave me much time to worry about it. Meant too say we had a reflexologist come to the house yesterday for Martin, he really enjoyed it says it was relaxing it was also very interesting to me, the lady could feel Martins tumour in his toe, the top of your big toe is equivelant to the brain, she let me feel it, it was amazing, she also showed me how to do it and says if Martin gets headaches to do it and it will relieve them, reflexology also clears the body of toxins especially chemo, so if you get a chance you should try it out on your loved ones.
Many thanks for those numbers - hopefully we get the chance to use them at some point. I think I've heard of the Medicover company. The reflexology sounded really good- probably worth looking into - amazing whats hidden in the feet isnt it, did you not get yours done too?! Am I right in thinking its Martin's scan tomorrow? The relexology was really good for Martin its done him good I think, It was really interesting listening to the lady she explained everything as she went along, just before christmas I went for a few sessions of reflexolgy and Indian head masage for myself all arranged by Ayrshire Cancer Support it was lovely, they have been a great support too me. Yeah martins scan is tomorrow at 9.30 although we wont get the results until tuesday this will be a long sleepless weekend for me, I am going off to bed now to try and a get a wee sleep doubt if I'll get much though, take care.

Martin had his scan today but we dont get the results until tuesday, til the next hospital appt it is better than the last time that was a 2 week wait, it really is horrible waiting to find out it would be better if it was the same day or the next day, but they are really busy at the hospitals. Glad to hear that your husband is okay hope it continues for you.
