Hi,
I am diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome but have not had any bowel-related cancer yet and get regular 2 yearly screening. Recently, I have been trying to get Critical Illness insurance. The best I can find is policies with an exclusion for rectal, colon and bowel cancers. I have phoned around to see if I could get cover for these even if the premium was higher but have been unsuccessful. My question is if anyone here has managed to find an insurer who will provide cover for this and if so who with.
Thanks
Hello asc123,
I'm sorry to hear you're finding it difficult to get the insurance cover you require.
I can't point you straight to a company prepared to cover you but a good specialist broker is often best placed to advise and find cover.
The British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) website is a good place to start looking for a reputable one.
I hope you find some success.
