Well here i am again at 4.30 in the morning and i can't sleep yet again!! My husband Darryl has terminal small cell cancer and, at the moment is going through a really good phase. Which, i would have thought, would set my mind at rest and enable me to sleep. But no, here i am again having had 2 hrs sleep tonight wide awake with mad thoughts running around my head!! This is driving me crazy and i just seem to be on auto pilot all the time. Darryl is 44 years old and we have been given a prognosis of a 2-3 year life span for him. I can't seem to let go of this thought, and maybe part of me can't sleep because of that, as i feel if i'm asleep i'm wasteing precious time!! Darryl is sound asleep and resting well, and if i stay upstairs next to him listening to his breathing, i keep thinking is this the last time i'll ever hear that and end up getting so uptight and worried that i find it better to just get up again. So i wander round the house do a few chores, have a hot caffiene free drink and will myself to sleep all to no avail i might add!! hahaha surely i'm not the only carer who never sleeps, or am i????? any comments gratefully recieved. Hi MHM Great excuse for not ironing..thought you'd have got a new one by now!! I don't iron much either, it either goes straight out on line or in the dryer, brilliant for taking the creases out though Michaela milks that one a bit and uses it daily!! love and hugs chickie Teresa xxxxx
chickie teresa, I know how you feel with Michaela using the dryer daily as Kirsty is the same! Trouble is though she puts three items in and turns the dial to max then 2 hrs later when it has stopped takes them out! I have told her she don't need to leave it on for that long but she's a little moo and don't listen to her mumma hen! lol Still love her loads though and expect when she gets her own place hse may stop doing that when she's spending loads on electricity! lol love and hugs MHM xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Jaq My hubby has a mac nurse and we are hoping his chemo has sorted his cancer out so I agree with Twomble, Mac nurses are not only for the very end, they are there for all cancer patients and from the first appointment with the Onco.
Dear MHM Must be a girlie thing as Michaela is exactly the same though with her its usually one item and put on for an hour, takes it out after about 20mins but leaves the dryer on, when she's older and has her own place I'm going round hers to use her washer and dryer then see how she feels lol!! cheeky moo would probably charge me, bless I love her loads really
Hi MHM That sounds like you are talking about our Gemma, she doesn't seem to understand that dryers cost money to run ans sunshine comes free!! also she only has one setting on my dryer, long / hot regardless of item, she put 2 socks in the dryer yesterday - just 2 socks for over an hour!!!!
chickies Teresa and Juls, Def think this is a girl thing then! So glad i'm not alone in my nagging! lol I think thats a good idea when our girls move out we all go to their homes to do our drying!
