Hi mother hen mel and chickies Karen and Kate
hope you all ok and glad that daryll is doing so well, sounds like the onco isnt too worried about him (in a good sense)by going away for 2 weeks but how dare he!! and more so he should have informed you that he was going away so I dont blame you for hollering!! It would still be nice if you can mange to get away for the week for both your's and darylls sake it would do you good, Mum and Dad had a week away last year after his news and it done themm the world of good so I would keep on to sec!!
Well didnt see any dr's today but a different nursing staff were on and they were so much more helpful, Michaela being given 2 diff antibiotics (1 of which they are changing tomorrow, now today) and they have her on a drip, they have also given her a mask to put on to stop further infection when she leaves her room to use toilet or wash room but she has to wait for them to 'unplug' her, my mum and her step nan took a pic of her wearing it as she lookks like a duck (we did laugh!!) lol bless her, still none the wiser really but the haemotoligist seeing her again on tuesday and they'll do more if her levels have dropped to 8 (bone marrow etc) at the mo their at 8.4 but apart from all she feeling she's in quite good spirits!! Problem with me being up these hours is dont get home form hosp till about half 8 have my dinner then crash out for a few hours, so much for routine!! Gave my mum a big hug tonight as she feeling it too after all thats gone on and told her how much I love her cos I do (welling up now!!) and waffling.
Mel. I laughed about the ironing board but then after 20 years phaps daryll just wanted rid of it!! but at least we know that karen a dab hand at ironing so bear that in mind!! Pink I agree with I think she's great but Motorhead???!! each to their own I like all kinds of music really, no actually I dont some of the stuff Michaela listens to does my head in!! but I go with Kate on U2 Bono not much to look at but what a voice!! What are your plans for easter? We don't really celebrate it just have sunday dinner together but won't be doing that this weekend, we're not even bothering to buy eggs etc though we will for Mia and mum bless her has bought Michaela a big fluffy easter bunny, she'll think ahh thanks nan but im nearly 18!!! Hope you all have a good weekend, lots of love and hugs and firemen with big hoses (so glad all else gone as I kept having to go back to see what our goodbye was!!! age kicking in!)
