Well here i am again at 4.30 in the morning and i can't sleep yet again!! My husband Darryl has terminal small cell cancer and, at the moment is going through a really good phase. Which, i would have thought, would set my mind at rest and enable me to sleep. But no, here i am again having had 2 hrs sleep tonight wide awake with mad thoughts running around my head!! This is driving me crazy and i just seem to be on auto pilot all the time. Darryl is 44 years old and we have been given a prognosis of a 2-3 year life span for him. I can't seem to let go of this thought, and maybe part of me can't sleep because of that, as i feel if i'm asleep i'm wasteing precious time!! Darryl is sound asleep and resting well, and if i stay upstairs next to him listening to his breathing, i keep thinking is this the last time i'll ever hear that and end up getting so uptight and worried that i find it better to just get up again. So i wander round the house do a few chores, have a hot caffiene free drink and will myself to sleep all to no avail i might add!! hahaha surely i'm not the only carer who never sleeps, or am i????? any comments gratefully recieved. a quote from a sharks tale (FISH ARE FREINDS NOT FOOOOOOOD HE HE HE ) I orderd lobster once and didnt have the courage to have it in the hotel restraunt so orderd it to the room because they bring them over so you can pick 1 .so I THOUGHT IF i GET IT TO THE ROOM THEY WIILL JUST bring it up .oooonnnnooooo they didnt oooohhh yes they did they brought the bloody tank up to the door off the room for me to pick one out .that was the first and the last time I had lobsrter hhhhaaaa hha .and I do love my sushie now hhhheeee hhheexxxxx
Paul...I love seafood though I've never had lobster, you should have let me cook it for you...I wouldn't have known I was doing it till I smelt it :-) xx
teresa good job you not chinese we might have had that dog souffled .with all these food programs on t.v when they say cross collie they dont mean with salt and peaper he he he .an a have been told am a bit of a crab in the morrnings h h haaaa
That made me laugh and made me remember that I didn't even season my fish :-) no wonder they had a funny smell, mind you they were in a plastic bowl at the time, hence needing a new cooker...ya can imagine how well that went down, I'd boiled 2 x £1.75 fish and it cost us £200 xx
my mum once asked me to watch the moince wile she went to the shops think a was about 17 a was sitting watching t.v in living room when I heard a neighbour shouting my name so looked out the window to see all I could see was smoke coming out off the kitchen the pot was stuch to the cooker and the whole kitchen was full of black smoke .ye mum was over the moon she got the kitchen redone but dad went mental as the two off us had to spend 2 weeks doing it .as you can imagine wasnt in the good book for a bit he he he and my sis thought it was great she didnt like mince muchxxxx
Remind me not to ask you to watch my fish or mince come to that, mind you don't blame ya for not doing so as like your sis I don't like it much either but at least your mum got a new kitchen out of it but ended up with no dinner that night :-) loving and leaving ya (didn't realise it was 5am!!) hope the rest of your shift goes by quickly and quietly xxxx
