Hi everyone
I am just trying to navigate myself around the site. Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

On that note, has anyone heard from Debs? Maybe she's run off to join the circus?
Haven't read that her 'official' results are in.
If you're reading Debs - much love.

Hey Guys
Question time from me. Tony woke this morning with a swelling on his left eyelid. And when I look at him straight on his face looks swollen and his cheeks look puffy. Like a hamster with his pouches full.
Anybody have any ideas what this might be?
Love to all.

Hi Pam, I was wondering if its some sort of sinus infection or tooth trouble.

Sorry Pam...its a new one on me. I take it you have ruled out allergy to any of the meds? Have you checked he is not pouching food and pills ( that would not explain eyelid) . Other than that it must be some kind of fluid build-up.
It never rains but it pours...just when you get used to one symptom with this bloody disease, it throws another at you just to keep the pressure on. Sorry cant be of more help.and hope that this is not causing Tony any further discomfort.
Debs...thought we might have heard from you. Hope you are too busy recovering from your night out?
Julie..Thinking of you
Martyn..stay well.
Joanna ..have great time in US
Love to everyone
Cathi xx
Thanks Cathi - not sure I will have a great time in the US, work related travel, but will be good to meet with colleagues. Will try to keep up on here but may not be able to
Pam, steroids can cause swelling, have they been increased recently? Is there any itching, could be reaction/allergy? To be honest sounds more postural (tho difficult to say via internet without seeing him), if it hasn't gone down over the day call the GP for advise
Debs your absence is now causing some concern hoping its because you have celebrated so much and not because you got over excited and joined the circus!
Love to all

Hello to all the golden oldies on this thread.
Sadly, I am writing to let you know that Sue, my beloved twin sister, died today. Her passing was peaceful and I have to thank the wonderful nursing staff at the MacMillan unit at the Royal Derby for taking such absolutely incredible care of her and for supporting her husband, Jim and her two daughters who were with her at the end.
Sue, your suffering is over and your spirit is free! Love you forever.
Jill.
Hi Jill
We've never met but I've been inhabiting the forum for a little while and my husband has a brain tumour so perhaps know a little of your journey. Just wanted to say how sad I was to read your post.
I hope your grieving process is not too brutal and that you very quickly reach a place where the memory of her brings feelings of love and affection not pain.
Sending all of the strength I can spare to you and Sue's family.

Pam - I hope I'm not talking out of my bottom here but when dad was in the hospice and effectively in a coma (and he had lost the use of all of his muscles by that point), the nurses turned his head a couple of times each day to prevent fluid build up on one side. That may not be what Tony has but just thought I'd let you know.

Jill, I'm sorry to read of your sister's passing. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling.
Take care, Naomi. xx
