Hi everyone

I am just trying to navigate myself around the site.  Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

Love Ali xxx

    Thanks Pete.

I'll have to see if I can dig out my old handcuffs and truncheon! I found the messages and it's telling me I have 10 unread ones. I can't find them though.

If any kind soul has sent me a private message and I haven't replied, please accept my apologies, it's certainly not intentional. I get an email sometimes, but it appears not always! I do think Doreen is more comfortable and she's taken a little coffee with Thick and Easy in. I'm not the best judge though being with her all the time. The girls are due down again shortly and they will be able to see the difference since last visit. Thank you and love to all. XXXX

    Hello all.

I just wondered if anyone had experienced the following at any stage?  Doreen is mostly sleeping, but during sleep she will open her eyes and there are only the whites of her eyes showing, her  pupils cannot be seen!  I assume it's brain associated, messages not being relaid etc? Thank you and always thinking of you all. Martyn XXXX

    Martyn,

I don't know what this is apart from being involuntary muscle movements.  It could be the tumour pressing against a particular part of the brain, or a pressure build up.  If her eyes are more bulbous than usual, then it's most probably pressure.

If she feels comfortable, then I wouldn't worry too much, but talk to the GP, district nurses.  In the meantime, if you have some viscous tears, then I'd use them to stop Doreen's eyeballs from drying out too much.

    Hi all

Just something I hope will make you smile. Went for our christmas tree today. As chris still has bad back I was sawing off the bottom of the tree when i heard Chris shout " Oh God" I looked up and I saw the look on his face. (the one he gets before his seizures.) Damn you damien I thought. Then Chris started to jerk and thrash at his jacket pocket. As i looked closer i saw smoke comming out of the pocket. ( Chris smokes like a chimney and puts his tab ends into his pockets.

He had actually set his pocket on fire. why was I so relieved to see he  had only set his jacket on fire. It comes to something when this is ssssooo much more comforting then to know DAMIEN  is growing back.

Love and peace to you all

My wife was diagnosed with Grade IV glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) in FEb 2008. She had radiotherapy/chemo at the beginning along wit steroids. She has not had any treatments of any kind since May last year (2010) and she is doing great.

We have had a few issues, not unexpected, but to have her with me for a 4th xmas is beyond my believe.

She is RC (i am not) and I take her to church every week, she takes "Tart cherry juice very day" and has done for about 3 years - other than that it has been milestones - 3 grandchildren she did not she would see,  weddings/births/birthdays/holidays and our 35th wedding anniversary.

Looking forward to a lot more time with her

Denise, your post was so funny, great to start the day with a laugh and so glad Chris is OK and Damien behaving!

Martyn - thinking of you and Doreen xxx

Hil26 - Welcome to the forum though you don't really want to be here nor does anyone else.  However, we try to be friendlya nd supportive so hope you will find that too.  Great news about your wife and long may it continue, little milestones mean so very much
