Hi everyone

I am just trying to navigate myself around the site.  Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

Love Ali xxx

Sallye- I dont suppose it is much help but when my Hubby severely lowered his dose of steroids he took Liquorice capsules. They are for adrenal support and from the Health shop. They can sometimes help the adrenal to kick back in. He had no problems so maybe they helped? Just a thought. x

    Usually?   ;-)  xx

But yes, it's coming up to six months since W died. Can't believe so much time has passed really. Things are a bit less frantic with practical things more or less organized but the sadness, though maybe easier to disguise, stays intense and comes in waves.
It was such a long, dark winter - and summer holding off still.

I've been very lucky to also have a good counseller from a local hospice - well someone to talk to really. That need to repeat and repeat your story, to examine it from all angles and have it recognized can be very strong in the bereaved I think, well I know.

Indeed, I don't post so much now but do read and think the support you give Mandy, also through your own, continued very hard times, is just amazing.

Sending my best wishes to all reading.

    Hi Sallye

I am glad that this info helped you, obviously you may want to run it by your Mum's GP because these are our experiences, as mentioned by Mandyr.

Fortunately for us our GP has quite a bit of knowledge about BT's which I believe is rare.

My husband experienced dizziness when first diagnosed and when he first started taking dexemethesone (steroid) and when he was on Radio with TMZ but the Oncologist never committed himself to what could be causing it.

If you read the side effects of the meds it mentions dizziness.

I assume that the dizziness subsided in my husband's case when his body got used to the treatment.

My husband was ok when on radio with TMZ but like your Mum, he didn't like TMZ when it was more then double the dose and on it's own so we changed to PCV chemo which suits him better.

I will have a look at G why why why and read your post on there.

    Take care

    Ann x

Sadly I would like to direct people to GBM Why Why Why to take time to think about Gayle and her loss.

Another tragic end.  My thoughts at this time are with Martin and with Gayle, Martine and Amanda xxxx

I am hoping Martin has joined up with P and Harry and B and others who have gone on another journey to ours - our shining stars - our loved ones who we will always be proud of - the ones who have given us meaning to life. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
