Hi everyone
I am just trying to navigate myself around the site. Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

Hi all,
Just caught up as have been off-line a lot recently - my laptop decided it didn't like the internet very much and refused to open anything without a ten-minute delay and then crashing! Thankfully, Col was able to restore it to a point where whatever software I had added in that was causing the problems wasn' t there anymore & ... I'm back!!!
A large number of names on here that I don't recognise - sorry that so many of you have had the need to join us but hopefully you're finding that the 'stars' on this site are really helping you to get through things in the same way as they have helped me.
Slambe - hope things are ok with your step-father - my husband suffers from the same type of tumour, although his appears to be dormant at the moment. Have you heard any more about treatment options?
Just a little anecdote to brighten your day from sunny Southampton - LDW I'm here too!! - we went away in the motorhome on Thursday evening to a rally luckily only about 30 minutes from home. Just as we'd arrived and were trying to set up our new awning, Col had a phonecall from our next-door neighbour asking if we'd left our burglar alarm on as he'd just found our front door open! I realised that Col had asked me to leave the door open as he was taking the budgie cage out to the van as he still had to get his coat; he'd then gone back in and come out again without shutting the door! My little Roadster can definitely do 100+mph up the M27!!! I arrived home to find that all was ok and went to thank the neighbour for shutting the door. He said that he had poked his head in but hadn't been able to tell if anything was gone. I explained that the complete and utter mess inside was a deliberate ploy to make burglars think that we'd already been burgled and not to bother!!! I hope Kim & Aggie never visit!!! Needless to say, I'll make sure I check the door is shut from now on as Col didn't even seem to think anything was wrong!!!
Martin, sorry to hear things are not good with Jan - thinking of you and yours xxx
Mandy - can't believe you're having to go through hospital rigmarole again so soon but at least your daughter has the best fighter possible on her side. Hope news is good for her & you xxx
Martyn - would love to meet up again soon - calendar a little packed (only 2 free weekends until about October!!!) but I'm sure if we get our heads together we can get something sorted. Not sure whether I can afford fuel to get to Nuneaton at the moment though... xxx
CH glad to hear that there are 'tulips in Amsterdam'! Would love to come over and see them sometime - it sounds beautiful xxx
Love & hugs to you all

Hi to all, I have posted in long while and my thoughts are with all of you who are going through bad times,but...
...I am cloud 9 today after getting the results of my MRI last night. 6 months after RT my tumour has no new growth which means I don't need chemo, surgery or even another scan til next year. I can even try reducing my epilepsy meds. I can now plan the rest of my year, as can my family. Roll on the holidays. It's also gorgeous weather. If Only we could bottle days like this to ahve a slug on the darker days eh?
Sorry if I sound like i'm gloating but I feel like shouting it from the rooftops.
Love to all those who aren't having such a good day, Fitz xx
Great news Fitz, I'm so pleased for you. We could certainly do with a swig from your bottle at the moment!
Very best wishes, Martyn XXXX
Hi everyone,
It was so lovely to read your good news Fitz. My husband, Glenn, goes for the results of his second MRI since his radiotherapy next Wednesday. This is his second brain tumour and we are so worried that it will reappear. It was diagnosed as a Grade III oligoastrocytoma and we just seem to live with our fingers crossed!
But we have decided to live as much as we can, so it's off to a car rally to Southwold in a couple of weeks, a trip to Florence in June (one of the destinations on our Bucket List) and Egypt in November for a Nile cruiseI
This is my first post to this thread, but you all are so positive and supportive and this is one of those days when I could do with a little support!
Good luck and best wishes to all,
Anne xxx
Hi Fitz
This is fabulous news - please do not feel that you are gloating - when I read posts like yours is gives us hope.
Take care

Hi everyone
Well there are some funny things going on in our household and I hope that I am not clutching at straws.
Steve is just coming to the end of chemo (4th cycle of PCV) and although he has been tired, this time, no sickness and he has not lost his strength as such.
He is now getting abit of movement back in his right leg, arm and fingers and he is now able to move his body alot better without help.
By moving more, the water retention is going down (his right hand was always swollen) and his feet were too but now his hand is flat for most of the day.
He is also more alert and a bit like his old self.
Hopefully this means things are happening for the good.
The next mission is to get him back walking unaided like he was uptil last October
Just needed to share this with you all
Take care
Ann x
