Hi everyone

I am just trying to navigate myself around the site.  Still struggling, but thought I would try and make a temporary place for the WTBT folk as we are all wandering round like lost souls at the moment- don't know if this will work- but worth a shot while Mac try and resurrect the old thread

Love Ali xxx

    Hi Edith,

Glad I could be of some help. They told my dad about the possible side effect of numbness in the face on the affected side but he has suffered no problem with that so hopefully your husband will be fine.

If I can be of any further help then just drop me a line,

    Angie x

    Hi  Edith,

You are very welcome aboard, no ticket required. I don't mind the odd choc orange sending through to the front end occasionally though!

    Take care,

    Martyn.

    Joso - Hi

Sorry,  just read your post, must have missed it last night when I was having my daily catch-up.

You will see from our profile that Jan has been under medication for two years now and for 14 months on Chemo. Jan's short term memory has been, well pants really, for two years and clearly with the onset of chemo there was a need to take tablets to a pretty strict regime. This has been accomplished with the aid of the most expensive tablet organiser I could find in Boots, the use of frequent telephone calls, such as "no more food for two hours", "you're not eating are you?", "time to take your tablets", "have you taken your tablets?", "did you remember the 8floz of water, no 8floz, not 8ml", "no, you can eat in another hours time", etc.. (I still work full time and then some) and friends of course, what would I do without them.

So, in short, I would not accept that your Dad cannot continue Chemo because of memory issues (there may of course be extenuating circumstances, but...) - you will of course need a management strategy. Hope this re-kindles your resolve !

Everyone else - Hope you're all as good as you can be; appears to be a bit of a shortage of chocolate back here in the guards/luggage van, any chance of some Lindt, Swiss chocolate tit bits? (Gone off Terry's as they are no longer made in York).

Best wishes to all - Robin and Janice

PS. Driver, any chance of going via Scotland soon, we are rather short on shorts and its the Yule season soon. :)

    Hi Robin,

I'll have to wait for my trustee navigator to return, as you know she has a very tough day today, but she will be back to organise our excursions and campaigns.  I detect you may be shocked when I tell you that my favourite Scotch Whisky is in fact Bell's blended!

Very best wishes to you, Jan and the children.

    Martyn.

Hi to everyone, new posters and old - I hope the new posters find the support they deserve from here.

Robin, I would've thought Martyn would've been steering round a U bend to top up at double quick speed with a suggestion such as that!

CH, hope all is as well as can be today xx

Mandy - Yes I know; nearly fell over when we hit the bend, some warning would have been good, but I guess it's for a good cause !! Robin  :)
