Hi folks

The doctor has stopped my wife's chemo because its doing more harm than good. Thankfully, she's not in any pain, but she's extremely tired and has no energy to do much. And she's feeling very low.

My dilemma is about her friends.

They're understandably very concerned and want to come and say hello. However, my wife is adamant that she doesn't want any visitors.

She doesn't even feel up to talking on the phone. She gets short of breath so even having a conversation can be exhausting. Instead, she keeps in touch with everyone through WhatsApp,  I completely understand why.

The problem is that her friends are calling me, asking if I can encourage her to let them visit. I have tried, but she's very clear that she doesn't want to see anyone - i dont know what to say to them - one is her oldest friend, who she has known for nearly 50 years!

I know it would do her good to have her friends visit. If I'm honest, it would probably do me some good too, just to have another face to talk to. But at the same time, I know she's the one going through this, and I don't want to push her into doing something she doesn't feel able to do.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Any ideas or advice would be great.
