Hello, im new here…
my lovely sister found a lump in her breast and was referred on the 2 week pathway. Her and my mum went to an appointment on Tuesday and a mammogram and ultrasound was performed - apparently the nurse said they suspect cancer and that its spread to the lymph nodes - does this sound right? As in can a nurse say this? They did a biopsy and she has a ct scan on Monday with a consultant meeting on friday next week is this definetly cancer then? Is this how it works? I dont understand she had a clear mammogram two years ago? My head is spinning - i just need to talk to someone
