Hi all.
My mum passed away 6 months ago, and I'm not sure where to look for help.
She was diagnosed 6 months prior, and her treatment was going really well and all Dr's were positive about her future. Unfortunately her type of lymphoma can be very unpredictable, and she suddenly started feeling unwell after being told she could have stem cell transplants to make sure the cancer never came back.
Looking back, before we took her back to the hospital for the last time, I think she knew that was it. She came down with a fever and became very weak. I remember arguing with her because she wanted help getting out into the garden, but was shivering like crazy and I wanted her to get tucked up in bed and rest! I took her out to her wonderful garden that she worked so hard on, and the next day to the hospital. 2 weeks later we lost her, and I think the emotional rollercoaster is finally starting to hit me!
I'e lost all motivation to do anything, and im starting to find it hard to go on with daily life as I just miss her too much. Anyone got any tips with grief counselling or support groups? All i ever want to do is talk about her, and that kind of thing seems to be uncomfortable for a lot of people so it would maybe be nice to meet some people who also just want to talk about a lost loved one.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I'm really sorry to read that your mum passed away recently. It must be a very hard time for you.
As you know, the online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the bereaved family and friends group where you'll connect directly with others who have lost a loved one to cancer. They will be able to share their experiences with grief counselling and support groups.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Sending virtual (((hugs)))
