Hi everyone,
I'm very new here and I'm just looking for some advice / support. My best friend has been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma and he's very scared and anxious, understandably. I'm also very good friends with his wife, but they're both reeling from this news and I would love some advice on how I can support them and what I can do for myself to best show up for them too.

Hi CJLR and a warm welcome to the Macmillan Community…… I don’t normally post in this group but happened to see your post.
I am Mike and I help out around our dedicated Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have Hodgkin's Lymphoma but I have been on my Lymphoma journey for over 25 years first diagnosed way back in 1999 at 44…… my first Lymphoma is a rare (8 in a million) incurable but treatable type of slow growing Cutaneous T-Cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL).
I eventually reached Stage 4a in late 2013 when a second, also rare (4 in a million) very type of aggressive Peripheral T-Cell NHL was then presenting so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I most definitely appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
Hodgkin's Lymphoma is very treatable Lymphoma and the aim of treatment is to cure or long term remission.The Community has dedicated cancer specific Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so you, your friend or indeed his wife may want to look at our…..
……. support area. This group is a safe place to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from family members who are navigating the same support journey.
