Sorry to hear about your dad and your step mothers reaction. There is quite a good article on here on anticipatory grief and I wonder if that might be helpful to you.
How is your dad at the moment? Do they need any support, a needs assessment can be really helpful and at the same time a carers assessment might help your step mother too.
