Hi everyone,
Anyone else dreading Christmas this year? I don’t know what my Dad’s future is going to look like and I’m worried this is going to be his last. His cancer has spread and I’m struggling to come to terms with it.
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informaive and supportive.
Sorry to hear about your dad, what type of cancer does he have and is he having any treatment?
My wife never wanted a prognosis when she was diagnosed and I really struggled with that especially as we had a young son, still 10 years down the line her cancer is stable and with a lot of help we got to the wonders of living with cancer rather than anything else.
I did a living with less stress course that really helped me.
<<hugs>>
Steve
Hi,
Thank you for replying to me. My Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer 3 years ago, he received treatment and responded well. We recently found out it has spread to his spine, we have been told they can’t cure it but they can treat it. He’s had radiotherapy and we’re waiting to see what the next steps are. He also has a nodule on his lung which was treated before but now they want to biopsy it. We were told he will be receiving palliative care and now he’s not which has left us very confused!
I‘m glad to hear your wife is okay. Thank you for the recommendation, I do stress a lot!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
