My wife was diagnosed 7 years ago, she didn't want treatment and was OK for a long time.
She is quite bad now and still reluctant to see a doctor. I will have to give up work soon to look after her. What support is out there as I'm not a medical person and I will need help to look after her properly, but I still want to honour her wishes.
I try to persuade her to get help but she still doesn't want to.
She is very ill now,
How do I get some support for us.
Hi Puppy
You are so right to make the point about "support for us".
Has she had a needs assessment - see here? At the same time you might like to get a carers assessment. Sometimes people sell the carers as helping them to care rather than looking after our loved one as the last thing anyone needs is for the carer to burnout especially when we are really needed.
