Hi everyone,
My sister was diagnosed on Monday with Rectal Cancer. I'm hoping to get her some bits to initially support her coming home from surgery. She's has a temporary stoma ahead of therapy and further permanent surgery later this year.
I wonder of there's anyone who has been through supporting a loved one and might be able to recommend anything useful and/or comforting as part of a little hamper for her please?
Gosh this is hard isn't it?!
Thank you,
Sarah
Hi Sarahhello1
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it useful for you as well as your sister,
One of the things that if often useful is one of those ear thermometers though of course there is always a chance she has one already. Other than that it can be helpful to think of things she enjoys as that can help focus on her. For my wife for instance books are always a good bet as she loves reading.
Changing the subject some, how are you? You are right in saying this can be hard but it can be very helpful reaching our on here as we get it because we have been there.
<<hugs>>
Steve
