....he starts chemo on Wed.
I'm confused by what the medical staff are saying, chemo should shrink the tumour but they can't give positive message, theyre saying its incurable. I suppose last time felt clearer as they could operate and with radiotherapy it went away (its returned on the other side, well actually they think it was there all along but got missed).
This time there are risks with radiotherapy as the tumour is touching a main artery so that's only an option if the chemo works.
I go from being positive (at least there's a plan for treatment), to worrying so much about the side effects and the 'what if' it doesn't work.
An intense time whilst also working and have 2 small children.
It's so sad reading everyone's stories on here too. Such a lot of emotions.
Hi and so sad to read your post about your dad, I can't imagine how difficult this is for you. You might want to consider giving the lovely folks here at Macmillan a call to ask any questions you have (the number is 0800 800 0000) or see if you can chat to your Dad's medical team as I can understand it can be difficult to ask all your own questions in front of him. I hope the chemo this week treats him kindly and he has few side effects, best wishes.
