Sorry it’s late folks so understand if nobody is awake to reply.
After months of hiding his symptoms my husband finally agreed to go to doctors managed to get him a telephone consulate this morning and then later a face to face appointment, the symptoms which my husband described sound very similar to bowel cancer as you can imagine his in complete shock right now.
His managed to get his bloods done today also and has to provide a sample which also confusing as they gave us :
Anybody know if the blue cap bottles are daily or do they have to be in one sample?
We both are in shock to be honest, we had a cancer scare a couple years ago but it was me and not him he hasn’t yet been diagnosed with cancer yet so I’m just hoping it’s all just one big nasty scare and it’s something minor which can be dealt without too much pain, so he can continue to be his carefree self.
But I can’t help but think what if this time it’s real, I don’t know how we are going to cope we both suffer with our mental health (anxiety/depression) so trying to stay strong and positive for each other.
Anybody got any suggestions on how to get through these next two dreaded weeks?
TIA
Hi Worried1994
While I am of a age where I get automatic bowel screening and have also had the pleasure of giving samples for some research in to my rheumatism I am sorry I do not really have a idea what your doctor if expecting, perhaps if you ring your surgery they could check what is expected. It is certainly a bit of an interesting exercise getting the samples but for me at least so far so good.
Waiting for results is challenging for everyone as we can see here.
One thing nobody can change of course is the past, so whatever happened we all are exactly where we are and the best we can do is make the best decisions going forward.
<<hugs>>
Steve
Thank you Steve for the reply will try and speak to doctors tomorrow morning before we take the samples in hopefully it’s nothing major and we can get back to some sort of normal.
