My Dad has had CLL and Hairy cell leukaemia for nearly 4 years now, he's had one course of chemo when first diagnosed, we have found out in November Hairy cell has returned and he also has non Hodgkin lymphoma cancer now too, just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this? Many thanks x

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear that your dad's hairy cell leukaemia has returned and he has also been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma as well. It must be an incredibly hard time for the whole family.

Could I suggest that you join the CLL, SLL, HCL group, which covers hairy cell leukaemia, along with the non-Hodgkin lymphoma group. Joining these groups will enable you to ask questions about treatments etc, share experiences and get support from others with these types of cancers.

To join just click on the links I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the pages that open. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your dad's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
