Hi, my husband was diagnosed yesterday, we are at the very beginning of this process. Op is on the 20th. We have two children 18m & 3, he is only 34 years old. I am very nervous about the future and just trying to figure out how I can help him go though this. I am just tying to keep it all normal for the children as they are so little. any good news stories, advise etc... would be very welcome. Thank you
Hi and welcome to the community, though sorry to hear about your husband.
We have a lot of information about testicular cancer on this site and there are plenty of members on the Testicular cancer forum at all stages of treatment and plenty of success stories there.
Often, perhaps oddly the impact can seem harder on the partner who wants to help but sometimes it can seem we cannot do the right thing. It can help to look at our pages on I'm looking after someone with cancer especially the emotional effects.
If you have a fairly technical question there is a Ask a Nurse.
For your older child it might help to look to at some of the advice in Talking to children and teenagers about cancer.
<<hugs>>
Steve
