Hi all,
Yesterday my sister recieved the devastating news that her only option is Palliative care now and Im struggling to help her any advice would be very welcome many thanks
Hello, I wanted to pop in just to let you know you're not alone on here. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I'm pretty hopeless on advice front really, just let her know that you're there for her (which I'm sure she knows).
When we got our news (the Royal "We" - it's my DH) we were just stunned and it's a lot to get head round. At this point I just listened to everything he wanted to say (including a lot of swearing and ranting!) and just held each other until we felt strong enough to start looking into the care available - and there is a lot - for you too.
Sorry I'm not much help - you are definitely in the right place for advice and support though!
xx
Hi many thanks for your reply and I'm sorry to hear about your husband. My sister has her oncology appointment next Thursday but I think we all know it is going to be just a conversation to sort out her pain management etc. she seems to have gone to bed since the news was imparted and stayed there apart from visiting the bathroom xxx once again thanks for your reply
