Hi my mom has ovarian cancer. She is 74, full of life, now frightened. She had surgery and now having chemo (done 3 out if 6). Anyone could give advice with experiences or any tip to support and go forward? We are now at the point when fear is becoming stronger and stronger. It seems impossible and it is so unacceptable. Thanks for any help.

  • Hi and welcome to the community, though we are always a little sorry to see another member join or ranks.

It might help to look at our information on ovarian cancer and perhaps look at or even join our group Ovarian cancer forum where there will be people at all stages of treatment.

If might also help you to look at our pages about looking after someone with cancer

Often the fear of the unknown can be the biggest part of the problem, though in truth we can never be sure what is around the corner. My wife and I have been living with cancer now for 6 years and still going strong - but it took help, well done for reaching out there are plenty of people here who will do their best to support you and together we can help.

    <<hugs>>
