Hi. My sister was diagnosed with colon cancer in Oct 2017 followed by surgery..then in Feb 2018 she was diagnosed with lung cancer followed by them removing top half of her left lung. In Oct of that year they found a tumor on a rib of her left side then more tumors. Right now she has two tumors to address and she is refusing radiation because it can interfere with her swallowing. She has been pushing me away. I am trying to honor all her wishes. Finally yesterday she talked to me a long time. She's very angry and I am just sad and devastated for her. Help of any kind would be welcome.
Hi, I’m sorry to hear about your sister; you are doing the right thing by just being there for her........she is dealing with so much and it’s hard for you all. I can’t really offer advice as my sister is just undergoing further tests for Bowel cancer, but it’s looking very likely that it is cancer which is why I joined this group. I doubt your sister is deliberately pushing you away, it’s probably her coping mechanism. It’s so much to contend with, for all involved.
