I got told on Friday my grandpa is being tested for blood cancer, Leukaemia, I know there is a chance he might not have it but I can't help but feel so low & distraught about this, He lives in a care home and also has dementia
Hi and welcome to the community. It is natural to feel anxious about a possible diagnosis and what might happen next. It might help to look at our mainsite about Leukaemia; there are 4 main types and the most common is CLL. So as well as a chance he might not have cancer there is also a good chance of having something that is generally slow growing and treatable.
Hope he gets a result soon and then you will know what the next stage is.
<<hugs>>
