The 2026 Autumn spotting festival is here. It is a dedicated space to share seasonal joy.
Come and connect with others during the cooler and darker evenings through a shared appreciation for seasonal crafts, recipes, and hobbies.
You are welcome to share:
If you need some inspiration to help you get started, we have gathered a collection of last year's posts in this blog. We look forward to seeing what seasonal things you have to share in the 2026 Autumn spotting chat.

To start the discussion I thought I’d share some recent fungi pictures I have taken on some recent walks.

Has anyone else seen any fungi or wildlife?

You mentioned you are experiencing low mood and pain. Have you got support with this? IF you notice the low mood and pain getting worse, it would be good for you to speak to your GP or healthcare team so they can make sure you have the support you need.
Please remember that if you need some emotional support, the Macmillan Support Line teams are also here for you. Sometimes it can help to talk things through with someone who’s there to listen, and the Nurses and Support Advisors can support you 7 days a week from 8 am-8 pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00, email or live webchat.
If you have any questions or need help with using the site, please don’t hesitate to email Community@macmillan.org.uk or send a private message to the Moderator account.

A very friendly robin that visits our garden everyday..............

Snoozing in the warm as the weather turned cooler..............

The changing colours of Autumn.........
I've been a little ill lately so for a change of scenery, Mrs Tvman and I travelled to Castlewellan Forest Park near Newcastle (the one in Co. Down at the foot of the Mountains of Mourne that sweep down to the sea).
The idea was to see lots of Autumn leaves but unfortunately we were slightly disappointed because it wasn't so autumnal. However I took a couple of photos from one side of Castlewellan Lake to the other.

And now one of yours truly having a little rest
