What If
What if I saw you across a frozen lake
Smiled a knowing smile and then turned away
Would I still feel your presence in the pit of my stomach
Or live in a freedom from the chains we once kept
And at what point do memories become simply lost dreams
With the life right before me lifting out from the grey
Will we ever feel lonely or accept it must be
That we’ll meet once again or never return.
What if these what if’s slowly fade in the days
That I forget you, release you, back to whence you once came
Would I visit this lake and stare out ‘cross the chill
And wonder what happened, if it was ever quite real?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
