The Hollow Within
The shimmering shine of a crystal glass stillness
The last of the light in a misty red sky
The stirring in my bones as the slow rumble flows
The genesis of a quickening and devastating wave.
It tears cross the oceans in a mission destructive
And I’m fragile, I’m weak, I’m alone and afraid.
So I must look away, tighten those frightened eyelids
As the image pierced through me reflects the hollow within me.
I am just a man and I don’t stand a chance.
So, as you rip through me,
Be as kind as you can.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
