Hi all,
Last week a lump was found in my thigh during my routine skin cancer appointment (melanoma). My anxiety levels are high with worry. I have a scan booked for next week but feel the lump has increased slightly. I haven’t been to work since as I’m very emotional. Any advice would be greatly received.
thank you
w10, I'm sorry to hear you're so distressed but I'm guessing that we all feel the same about any bumps and lumps that come up. I'm pleased your health team are being proactive and that you've got a scan booked. It can't have been picked up any faster so that's good too as you're in the top lot of people who get priority treatment.
You don't say anything about your diagnosis here but I'm guessing you have had some experience with melanoma (as have I) so that's what you are worried about. I can't say don't worry because it's normal to worry but if you can manage to go to work then at least it might distract you a bit. Try anything to pass the time, I hope the time goes waiting time goes quickly for you x
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
