Hi anyone else experienced red hot cheeks after infusion. I had it last time and its come back again today. Bright red and hot too touch. My temperature is normal.

I spoke to team last cycle and they told me its chemo cheek. Its an odd sensation.

Take care Amanda xx

  • Hello ,

I had cisplatin and vinorelbine 12 years ago to prevent my lung cancer coming back (it's workrd so far fortunately).

I also had hot cheeks amongst other things. I also had all of the other side effects you mention on your profile. One thing to note which might help - for constipation I tried remedies from the chemists shop but they didn't work and I was in a right state. It was resolved when I was given treatment on prescription - perhaps worth bearing in mind?

I wish you all the best for the remained of treatment and success.

    Derek.

  • Yes! I always get it the morning after chemo (Carboplatin and paclitaxel) and sometimes the day after that. It usually subsides by the afternoon each day. It’s very weird isn’t it.

  • Hi crystaltipps73f2a8

Yes it is strange incredibly hot too touch but no temperature. Its not as bad today but still visable.

Thank you for replying means a lot to know others experience it too its things no one mentions  xx
