Having been diagnosed with a CUP I'm currently on my 4th cycle of 12 of chemo. So far I seem to have got away lightly with side effects, apart from hiccups caused by the steroids I'm on after each IV!
I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has had or is having a similar effect experience.
I had bouts of hiccups over my 2 years main treatments Oct 2023 to Oct 2015……. it happened at various times and not just when I was having steroids….. the nursing team gave me a Blue Pill….. and they worked…. but it could have been a placebo for I know 
Hi Oonagh muscle wastage is indeed seen a side effect of steroids but it is also important to remember that muscle wastage will develop if we become less active during treatments…
There are signs everywhere in the various wards and clinic at my hospital saying a week in bed or not being active is like ageing the body physically by 10 years.
