Hello all,
I hope everyone is doing as well as they can be today?
I am due to start chemo imminently and have been told by my consultant I am almost certain to lose my hair. I just wondered if anyone can recommend a good sunscreen suitable to protect my scalp, or give any tips on whether sunscreen is advisable on such new, probably sensitive skin?
I absolutely appreciate I am overthinking this I think I have lots of nervous energy waiting for treatment to start so getting fixated on the weirdest things!
Thank you!
Sam xx
Hi Sam DollyParsnip
I have lived with a rare skin Lymphoma for coming up to 26 years and during my various treatments I lost my hair three times……. so I am open to skin cancer so sun protection is important…….. but a simple factor 50 sun block did the job for me…..
I just went into my local pharmacy and talked with pharmacist and ask what was the best factor 50 at the time
Hello Mike,
Thank you so much for your reply, I think I will take myself off to the Pharmacy once the scalp starts to overtake the hair! As I say, it's all totally overthinking on my part but it's good to know I don't need any specific stuff.
Thank you again ️
