I have been told I will have my chemo in 3 week cycles, how will that work, is it a full week of chemotherapy then a few days off then another full week etc until the four months is up?
Hi Jacqui
My chemotherapy was a 3 week cycle.
For me this was day 1 spent at the hospital - home same day- then 20 days home. Mine was carboplatin and paclitaxel for endometrial cancer. I was at the hospital around 8-5.
The first week was where I felt unwell and then I would normally start to feel better by the second week. Third week could normally do more. The week before the next chemo I would have a review with the consultant via telephone and then bloods taken at my GP surgery.
I wish you well with your treatment.
Jane
Jane I thank you so much for that it’s really helpful. We have the same cancer, I am doing the same chemo mix with the immunotherapy drug. I wish you well.
