Hi

I am on my 6th session of Enhurtu and I would be really interested to hear of other people’s experience with it . I am getting a lot of hair loss which most side effect lists say would be minimal and the nausea and fatigue for me is pretty full on although I am loving my roast lunch in the second Sunday! Would be really interested in hearing other people’s experiences and coping strategies . Thank you .

  • Hi  and welcome to the Macmillan Community

Navigating the cancer journey can be such a stressful and challenging time but getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' cancer type can help a lot.

There are many different types of treatments so posting in the correct group will help a lot.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Cancer Support Groups (Discussion Rooms)………… but you don’t say what type of cancer you have If you care to have a look through this link Cancer Specific Groups you will find all our dedicated cancer support groups listed.

These groups are safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support from members who are navigating the exact same journey.

Do get back to me if you need further help navigating the community.

  • Hello Sarah, Im about to have my 13th Enhertu treatment.   I had very short hair when I started as I've never let it grow much following chemo, initially a lot came out and it was very thin and wispy but I started using Alpecin shampoo and Im no longer losing any hair and what I have is definitely filling out!   The nausea is an issue, this cycle I have taken Domperidone for 5 or 6 days after treatment and I guess I was a little better than previously;  the fatigue is full on in the days folliwng treatment but I find I'm fine within a week and the rest of the cycle I am generally ok.   I have been taking an antihistimine 120mg daily and that has helped with skin blotches which I was getting on my face and chest and with itching, which was driving me mad!!!!
