At 10am today I'll be having my first of 8 sessions of chemotherapy. I'm nervous. So many possible side effects. I know that I'm extremely lucky, the bowel surgery was a complete success. I'm such a wimp.
Hi Den64 welcome to the forum.. I'm hoping that your first chemo has happened and you are relaxing and recovering? You are most certainly No wimp, the exact opposite in fact, it takes guts and strength to get through this and it sounds like you have that. It's OK to be nervous and a bit apprehensive none of us would be human if we didn't feel like that. Hope the chemo goes well for you and sending very best wishes your way. Gail
Hi Den64
You may also wish to post in the bowel cancer group as a lot of the members there are undergoing or have undergone the same treatment but may not notice your post here in this general chemotherapy group.
I’m glad you’ve found it not too bad, but hope you’ll stop thinking of yourself as a wimp-you are definitely not that!
Sarah xx
