Hi there, AC was on in the Day Unit yesterday. I was so cold my teeth were chattering for two hours despite a wool blanket.
Perhaps wear winter clothes with cold cap at the moment . The cold seemed to make my veins disappear so five attempts to install canular so suggest you ask to put in canular before the cold cap is used. Will travel to hospital with hot water bottle over hands (as we leave at 7.30 am and quite chilly) . My veins were massive when the ward warmed up in the afternoon!
Very best wishes .
They also recommend cold hands and feet to prevent neuropathy. I took a heated blanked that plugged in and also wore a heated jacket that ran by batteries. After the first 15 I was fine. They could get to the port with my jacket on as it zipped up the front. Maybe this can help. I have had one session so far.
