Started treatment of Paclitaxel and carboplatin (PC, CarboTaxol) today and having in 3 weekly periods to treat stage 3 endometrial cancer.
What are the chances of remission? Is there hope?
Your cancer may have already all been removed during surgery. No way to really know for sure.
Im stage 3 as well and will be doing chemo cocktail plus immunotherapy for 2 yrs following as maintenance. I was told these treatments were to kill off any cancer cells that may have been missed during surgery.
Recurrence rate is higher as well for Stage 3 it's around 45% I was told after treatments recurrence rates should drop to around 10%. They have me down as curative versus palliative treatments.
Good luck on your treatments I will be starting mine in a couple weeks. Not looking forward to it at all but I want to do everything (such as we all) I can do to keep the beast from returning.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
