Hi

im taking the above chemo for secondary bowel cancer. Plus anti emetics I’ve had a rougher reaction than my last treatment cycle (this is my second)

For the past 4 nughts  I’ve had very grim,  violent &  florid  nightmares. Has anybody else has this ?

it makes me want to seriously avoid going back to sleep . I only had 3 hours sleep last night. I’m not sure what to do and any advice welcome.

Thanks

Graham

  • Hi  sorry to hear about the challenges you are having.

I have a totally different cancer and treatment journey so have not had this drug......

But I can certainly relate to the reactions I had to some of the drugs I was on..... sleepless nights, nightmares and significant hallucinations....... but I am coming up to 9 years out from my last treatment and the memories of these experiences are starting to get fuzzy at the edges....... and I must admit that I am not that sure that there was anything I did that helped apart from getting some sleep meds from my GP to ensure I did get some sound sleep although these were only about 4 or 5 hrs at a time.

I do hope that things improve for you.

You may want to put this up in the cancer specific group where this drug is normally used.
